Well, yesterday was an amazing day. First, the interview with Ariel Helwani. Then training at Renzo Gracie Academy New York City coached by Renzo Gracie with Georges St. Pierre, Gregor Gracie, Rafael Sapo Natal, David Branch, Bruno Tostes (Matt Hamill's BJJ teacher), Danny Morales, Rulivan Gracie. Great day! I'll be teaching the MMA class today at 12:30. Next time I'm going to RGA NYC is Thursday. If you don't want to miss it, then come to MMA class and we'll go from there!

I had a great time in Costa Rica, doing the seminar at Mauro Sergio's academy and meeting with Arturo. Costa Rica is a true paradise and I had a great time there. Happy to be back in Stamford and at Renzo Gracie Academy!

This upcoming Monday I'll be giving an Interview for MMA Fanhouse with Ariel Helwani. I'll be speaking about my upcoming fight with Warrior 1 MMA in Canada on November 20 and whatever else Ariel wants to ask! It'll be great. Thanks again to him and I'm looking forward to it!

Bruce of MMA Confidential came to Renzo Gracie Academy today to film our MMA class and interview Daniel Gracie. It was a great class with really tough sparring. The students are all learning how to put it all together! Jiu-Jitsu, Boxing, Wrestling and Muay Thai. Great job everybody. Be sure to check out MMA Confidential for the show!

For our regulars who come to the 12:30 MMA class, we had a real tough one... Marcio of Gracie Sports in Norwalk came to our academy to do a Ginastica Natural warm up. After the warm up, we trained take down control on the wall and then we did a full take down training. Next it was onto G and P - Jiu-Jitsu with strikes. And then (oh, you thought it was over? guess again) we did an extra special training of throwing the bag, sprawls and burpees. Sound good? You know it. Every student is training at their pace and is excelling! Be sure to be in class Thursday to learn more about Ginastica Natural. By the way, we'll have a very special guest on Thursday. Make sure your wear your best gear because you never know who might filming!!!

This week we'll be upping the intensity. It's hot outside and the tatame is going to be hotter. The classes will be focused on having good balance to pass the guard. This is very important because passing the guard is timing and if you don't have a strong base you won't have time to think how to pass.

Professor Leleo is in Las Vegas this weekend to compete in a no gi tournament. Our team did well with Rolles Gracie, Igor Gracie and Gregor Gracie closing out their respective categories. Read more in Gracie Magazine.

It was a tough nite, thanks to all the students who came out for our UFC fight nite. We have lots of good news coming. We'll be adding more classes to the schedule and the Academy will be open more.
